One of the past summer weeks of the MCS Career & Business Camp was dedicated to space.

DAY 1.
We started our morning with a short quiz, brainstorming and understanding simple facts about space, afterwards everyone was tasked with a small research on professions affiliated to space exploration and they presented their findings to the class.
Also this day we built our own planets! Forgetting just drawing, we figured out what it takes to make a world where life could happen. Get ready for a universe of imagination!

DAY 2.
The class this day was about dreaming big and space careers! 📰 We made presentations based on famous space jobs, discussing the companies that hire for them and the specific education required to break into the field!

DAY 3.
This day we reached our destination, the Space pavilion at VDNKH! Our excursion started with stories about the past of space rocket construction, drafts and models. Then we proceeded to find out more about astronauts living and working in space, their day to day routine and tasks!👩‍🚀
We went inside the real space station, tried ourselves behind the control panel, heard many awesome stories about professionals’ outer space experience!

When we came back to school, we started the experiments – we tested potassium and metal reactions, which are similar to the materials that can be found on Mars and Venus!

DAY 4.
For the fourth day of the Space week during Career Boost class we were researching why other planets are inhabitable, working in pairs on the ideas and solutions.
We also continued creating our very own planets, using styrofoam, masking tape, and paint. It was so much fun seeing simple materials transforming into colourful, unique worlds!

DAY 5.
1…2…3… Take off! This day we visited Venus, Mars and Mercury by repeating the same reactions that are seen on these planets! We observed the change of colour of different metals, the burning of oxygen, and even a volcanic eruption! 🌋
We continued with a warm gathering with a space fantasy movie: Guardians of the galaxy!
Then we tried some space food and wowed everyone with our awesome planet presentations, earning some seriously cool prizes!
