We spent almost a week in one of the most beautiful and clean regions of Russia:
β we walked around the capital of Karelia β Petrozavodsk and learned the history of this city
β went on a Meteor to Kizhi Island to visit the well-known open-air museum with wooden multi-domed churches
β visited the art object βValley of Haresβ, the resort of Marcial Waters, the ancient volcano Girvas, the largest plain waterfall Kivach
β rafted down the mountain river Shuya, overcoming three rapids of varying difficulty
β had a picnic lunch in the forest by the fire on the river bank
β visited the attraction park in Petrozavodsk
β grilled shashlik on the shore of one of the Karelian lakes
β went boating, used catamarans, bicycles, went fishing and visited sauna
β admired the waterfall Tohmajoki, near which the film βThe Dawns Here Are Quietβ was filmed
β we visited the incredibly beautiful Ruskeala Mountain Park and walked along the marble canyon
β we went on the fabulous Ruskeala Express to the city of Sortavala
And most importantly, we walked a lot, talked, made friends, played, spent time together, made memorable cards. Each of us will remember this trip for the rest of our lives!
