ART SUMMER CAMP – MOSCOW PLAIN AIRS

Week 1
Discover how artists from different countries see and represent the world.
Children will explore artistic traditions from various cultures and experiment with different styles of drawing and painting. Inspired by international art movements, they will create their own artworks while learning how culture influences creativity.
From Japanese painting techniques to American artistic styles and Turkish-inspired art, children will discover that there are many different ways to express ideas through colour, shape and imagination.

Week 2
Every child will create their own personal art diary dedicated to Moscow.
Using a special sketchbook, children will explore the city around them and capture its architecture, streets, landmarks and atmosphere through drawing.
This will not be a collection of quick sketches — children will learn to observe carefully, notice details and create thoughtful artworks using different artistic approaches and materials.
By the end of the week, every child will have their own unique artistic portrait of Moscow.

Week 3
Children will experience the traditions of classical artists by creating still-life artworks outdoors.
They will learn how artists observe light, colour, shape and composition while working with real objects and nature.
Throughout the week, children will experiment with different materials and techniques:
 watercolour;
 gouache;
 charcoal;
 sepia;
 oil painting.
Each day will bring a new artistic challenge and a new way to express creativity.
